Ministry of Foreign Affairs launches online business matching portal

President Muhammadu has called for sustained use of digital tools by Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies to encourage the ease of doing business.

He made the call in Abuja at the launch of three Legacy Projects of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Projects are the Nigeria Global Bussiness Match, an online match-making portal that is designed to match businesses in Nigeria with businesses around the world by uploading their details on secured portal managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The second is Nigeria Global Citizen’s online help desk, a 24/7 Omni channel Helpdesk offering calls, chats and email support and assistance to Nigerian Citizens abroad, especially in cases of emergency, where they cannot reach Nigeria Embassy the entire world physically.

The third project launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was the Unified online presence where it unified all the websites of all Nigeria missions and headquarters in one secure Web space.

Represented by the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, the President explained that governance was made easy with the use of Information technology, hence the need for all government agencies to take the advantage.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyeama said the initiatives were aimed at making jobs easier for the Ministry staff and investors as well.

The Chairman Nigerians in Diaspora Commission NiDCOM Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa said the Commission would carry out the message on the initiatives to Nigerians in the Diaspora.

Edo state governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki who applauded the ministry of Foreign Affairs for the initiative, said it would go a long way in enhancing the services it provide.
