New executives take mantle of Osun NUJ leadership

New Executives have emerged for the Nigerian Union of Journalists NUJ Osun State Chapter.

Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu emerged as the Chairman, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin as the Secretary, Comrade Ademola Lawal as the Treasurer, Comrade Fagbohungbe Mayowa as the Assistant Secretary and Comrade Adegboye Saheed as the Auditor.

In a remark, The Chairman, Osun NUJECO 2023, Comrade Abdulraheem Adekilekun of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation,OSBC noted that the contestants were duly screened by the National Executive of the Union and unanimously accepted by members of the Union.

Earlier, The National President Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Comrade Chris Isiguzo represented by the Vice President B Zone, Mrs Ronke Samo urged members of the NUJ Osun State Chapter to Come together as one for the uplift of the union. 

Mrs Samo described the new executive members as dogged fighters and people with vision capable of steering the ship of the union.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Gold FM, promised to remodel the State NUJ Council, which every member would be proud of.

Comrade Ajadosu, who appreciated leaders of the union in the state and members for their cooperation over the last three years, appealed for more support for him to succeed.

Barrister Bukola Aderigbigbe and Oyesiku Adelu read the oath of office to the new executives.

Meanwhile, Bye-elections would be held for the Positions of Vice Chairman and Financial Secretary, sequel to the decision of the National Secretariat.
