The Director General National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies,NILDS, National Assembly, Professor Abubakar Olanrewaju Sulaiman has extolled the nation’s indivisibility and unity in diversity at 64th independence anniversary.
Professor Sulaiman stated this in a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Mohammad Abdulkadri .
He said in over six decades of Nationhood, Nigeria has not done badly among comity of Nations in the African sub ‘region.
The Professor of Political Science and International Relations buttressed his conviction about the greatness of the country with the assertion that Nigeria is globally ranked as a leading, Largest and stable Democratic nation to be reckoned with among performing democracies of the world.
The Director General also justified the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the country by alluding to the emerging economy ranking of Nigeria as Africa’s leading destination of Choice with her over two hundred Million population asset.
The former Minister of National Planning opined that Nigeria at 64 opens a new vitsa of hope under the “Renewed Hope Agenda” Mantra of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He expressed confidence in the administration’s well articulated policy thrusts to meet the yawning and aspirations of Nigerians towards librating them from the current hardship in the country.
While congratulating President Tinubu, the President of the Senate, Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON, and the Speaker House of Representatives Rt.Hon Abbas Tajudeen, Ph.D, on the independence anniversary, he urged Nigerians to support the Executive, Legislative and the Judiciary Arms of governments towards deepening the nation’s unbroken twenty – five years of democracy.
He promised that NILDS will continue to deepen the Nation’s Democratic Processes, enhance Institutional Capacity and Partnership with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies inline with the Institute’s core mandate.
