Nigerian army parades over 100 suspected criminals

The Nigerian Army has paraded over one hundred suspected criminals in Lagos.

The suspects were arrested for various crimes during the ‘Exercise still waters operations’ in different areas of the state.

Parading the suspects,  the  Commander 9 brigade,  Brigadier General Isongubong Akpaumonthia, said the suspects were  raided  in some  volatile areas in Oshodi during the operations in the early hours of the morning

He noted that various items were seen with the suspects, including cut to size locally made pistol, phones, local charms, cash, Indian hemp, tramadol, ATM cards,  sim cards and bags.

The General  gave an assurance that the Army is in change and would not give criminals the chance to strike.

 He assured that the suspects would be screened and  handed over to the police for further interrogation.

Radio Nigeria spoke to some of the suspects who claimed to be doing one job or the other, but were caught at wrong places due to some circumstances.
