NNPP appoints Abba Kawu- Ali as acting National Chairman

The National Working Committee, NWC, of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abba Kawu- Ali as the Acting National Chairman of the party.

His appointment followed the stepping aside of Professor Rufai Alkali who said he took the step to allow for a fresh hand to run the party as the NNPP repositions for greater responsibilities.

Professor Alkali had made his decision known in a letter to the National Secretary of the Party.

He said his decision to quit the position was also premised on need to build on the successes recorded in the brief period he held sway as National Chairman.

Until his new appointment, the new national chairman, Alhaji Abba Kawu- Ali was the National Vice Chairman, Northeast.
