NSCDC Arrests Two for Alleged Rape of Minor in Kwara

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) kwara state command has arrested a 53 years old block moulder Michael Adebayo and Tajudeen Hammed, 31, a phone engineer for allegedly had canal knowledge of minor.

According to the statement signed by the spokesman of the command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, and made available to the pressmen, today Tuesday said the two suspect were arrested at different places in Ilorin, kwara state capital.

Said the suspect Michael Adebayo, committed the offence in his shop located at Ori Oke, Elekoyangan area of the state capital, stated that Hajarat was said to be hawking puff puff and used to carry the puff puff to the shop of Michael from where he lured her with N200 naira.

” According to the suspect in his confessional statement, the girl used to hawk puff puff which she usually bring to his shop and he took advantage of her naivety to lure her with N200 naira, he also confessed to have done this on few occasions”. Babawale narrated.

On Tajudeen Hammed, 31, a phone engineer, was accused of forcefully slept with 16 years old Isiaka Hawau.

“In the meantime the two rape cases have been transfered to the intelligence and investigations department for full scale investigations after which the suspects will be charged to court” Babawale concluded.
