Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Kwara state command has naabed a 40 year old suspected kidnapper, Boodo Abdullahi Alhaji, who allegedly killed the victim after ransom paid.
According to the spokesperson of the Command, Ayeni Olasunkanmi, while parading the suspect at the headquarters of the command in Ilorin on Monday said Boodo was arrested at Owode via Banni in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Boodo was alleged to have joined other suspects currently in the custody of Nigeria Police, Oyo State Command to kidnap a victim in Eruwa, Oyo state and fled to Kwara.
Boodo along with his gang allegedly collected ransom from a victim’s family and still went ahead to kill the victim.
Boodo, reportedly fled from Eruwa area but was nabbed by the operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps at Owode via Banni in Kaiama LGA, Kwara State, the spokesman said.
The command, however, said they have launched a manhunt for the other suspects who are still at large.
Meanwhile, the state Acting Commandant of NSCDC, Jonah Gabriel, has appealed to warns to always give timely and accurate information about any suspicious movements around them to the security agencies.
