NYSC DG Confirms Payment of ₦77,000 Allowance To Serving Corps From March

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has assured corps members that they will begin receiving the newly approved monthly allowance of ₦77,000 from March 2025.

According to a statement, General Nafiu gave the assurance during an interactive session with corps members at the NYSC zonal offices in Wuse and Garki, Abuja.

He reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to their welfare, emphasizing that their well-being remains a top priority.

He urged corps members to remain dedicated, disciplined, and focused on their national service, assuring them that the scheme would continue to uphold its mission of fostering national unity and cultural integration.

“The NYSC is good at record-keeping, and I can assure you that your money will be paid. The nation and the scheme appreciate your service,” he said.

Corps members at the session expressed gratitude for the allowance increment, with Zaka Deborah Alheri, speaking on behalf of her colleagues, commending the Director General for his efforts in ensuring their welfare.
