Oyo govt seals Banks, Telecoms over alleged non-compliance with revenue payment

The operatives of the Oyo State Government has on Tuesday sealed off some commercial banks and telecommunications masts around the Ibadan metropolis over alleged noncompliance with revenue payment.

 This is contained in a statement signed by the state commissioner of Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, and made available to the Accurate News.

“The Enforcement team of the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, led by the Director, Land Use Charge, Esv. Olufisayo Ogunbiyi, during an Enforcement tour around the city of Ibadan, sealed some commercial Banks and telecommunications masts due to their non-compliance with the payment of revenue to the coffers of the state government.

 The statement further read that the affected commercial banks and the telecommunications outfits have been served notices before the enforcement team visited them.

 He assured that once they pay the required Land use charge, their premises would be re-opened for business.
