The elders’ caucus of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ifelodun local government area of Kwara state has lauded governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over what they described as people-oriented governance embarked on by his administration.
Addressing journalists at a press conference held at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) press centre on Monday, the spokesperson of the group Engr. (Chief) Job Kolawole Buremoh, said the goverment has adopted a concept of ‘the people first’ rather than the ‘chop I chop’ syndrome.,
“We express our sincere gratitude to our amiable Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazak for not disappointing us by his performance in office over the past three and half years.
“He has removed our shame and has made us very proud of being Kwarans and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State. He has obviously made himself a sellable candidate whom we can easily market for reelection for a second term in office.
“He has proved to the whole world that under his purposeful administration, it cannot be business as usual. He has adopted a concept of ‘the people first’ rather than the ‘chop I chop’ syndrome which was the case during the sixteen years of the last administration in the State.
“Only the chronically biased and the politically blind will not see and appreciate the fact that his administration has positively touched the lives of the good people of Ifelodun Local Government Area and the whole State at large in virtually every area one can think of”
The group also lauded the achievements of the two serving members of the State House of Assembly from the Local Government area, Owolabi Olatunde Rasak, Share/Oke Ode Constituency and AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho Salaudeen, Omupo Constituency said the duo had performed credibly well.
“In the same vein, we are very proud of the performances of our two Kwara State of Assembly candidates, Honourable Owolabi Olatunde Rasak, present Honourable Member representing Share/Oke Ode Constituency and Honourable AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho Salaudeen presently representing Omupo Constituency at the 9th Kwara State Assembly.
“To any dispassionate observer, the two of them have performed creditably well over the past three and half years. They have both made names for themselves, thus qualifying as sellable candidates in their reelection bids. It is just natural to expect that the two of them be voted for massively, to continue the good works they are currently doing, and this we plead”.
