The Bishop Diocese of Kwara Anglican Communion Rt. Revd Sunday Timothy Adewole has urged the aggrieved politicians to seek justice in Court and stop inciting people to cause violence.
The spiritual leader made the call during the Easter service at the Cathedral of Saint Barnabas Anglican Church Sabo-Oke Ilorin, Kwara State.
In the aftermath of the 2023 general elections he said “Nobody can come to power except the Lord put him there if we want to seek redress, we should go the legal way, we should not incite people, we should follow the law of the land and then hope on the lord” He said
He said “we should be hopeful in an hopeless situation because the lord is there he has the ability to turn things around for good.
Speaking on the essence of Easter festivities, Bishop Adewole said “Easter celebration is the resurrection of the lord Jesus Christ, today Jesus rose to defeat Satan and to open the gate of eternity for believers, today is so important because if there is no resurrection there will be no Christianity. He rose that is why we have confidence to know that even after living this world there will be place in the Kingdom” he said
