Senior Lawyers, Alumni Honoured Barr. Umar Yusuf At Son’s Wedding

Legal practitioners in their hundreds on Saturday 13th May, 2023 thronged Ilorin, Kwara State to grace the wedding of the son of Barrister Umar Akanbi Yusuf.

Friends and associates that attended the wedding reception of Yusuf ( Jnr) who is also a lawyer and Amina, a nurse, included the alumni of Government Secondary School, Malete.

Amongst the prominent lawyers that graced the colourful ceremony is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Barr. Kehinde Eleja who was a former chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association in Kwara State.

Another Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Barr. Mumini Hanafi served as the chairman of the occasion.

A former Offa local government chairman and commisssioner in Kwara State, Barr. Olusegun Olawoyin and Barr. Sulaiman Umar were also some of the lawyers that graced the event.

The groom’s father’s old school mates at GSS Malete that attended the ceremony included a business mogul, Mr Ige Ayeni, a deputy director at the Governor’s Office, Ilorin, Alh Kabir Salahu, a grassroots politican, Alh Salihu Alamayo, a business tycoon, Alh Adebayo Alaro, a former commisssioner for Energy in the state, Alh Taiye Eleja and the regional editor of Leadership newspapers, Alh Abdullahi Olesin.

Others are a former chairman of the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Malam Umar AbdulWahab , a senior journalists with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria ( FRSC),Malam Ali Muhammad Rabiu, a notable politican, Alh Ali Olola and a retired permanent secretary, Dr Garba Manjo.

In a brief sermon titled ” Marriage in Islam”, Dr Shaddam Folorunsho intimated the couple about their responsibilities towards each other.

He particularly enjoined the groom to take good care of his wife at all times, based on his capacity and urge the wife to be submissive to her husband.
