Wealthy Muslims in Ilorin, Kwara State have been enjoined to spend their money on the course of Allah and wellbeing of the commoners.
An Owo- ( Ondo State)- based Islamic scholar, Sheikh AbdulRafiu AbdulWahid Ajetunmobi gave this admonition at a special Ramadan lecture organised by Addabiyatul Kamaliyyah Society in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Ajetunmobi said it’s more profitable for the wealth Muslims to spend their monies on charity rather than leaving them for their children as inheritance.
While reminding them that they would be the ones to account for how they gathered such wealth during the day of judgement, the cleric noted that some inheritors of parents properties were deploying those properties in the ways not pleasing to Allah .
He also called on leaders at all levels to fear God in their dealings with those they govern, reminding them of the inevitability of death.
The cleric who lamented the hardships being faced by Nigerians as a result of cash crunch, charged the nation’s leaders to shun corruption in all its ramifications.
The event which was chaired by a veteran journalist, Alh Abdullahi Olesin, was well attended by the alumni of Adabbiyya Kamaliyyah Society led by their president, Alh Nuhu Abbas.
