Buhari reiterates commitment to revive Ajaokuta Steel Company

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured the people of Kogi State that the Ajaokuta Steel Complex will be revived.

The President gave the assurance while addressing traditional rulers at the newly built Ohinoyis Palace, Okene, Kogi State

He said his administration was resolving the dispute surrounding the takeover of the company.

President Buhari disclosed that over 400 million dollars had been spent so far in process.

According to the President, the benefits of the company were too numerous to be abandoned including thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

He maintained that the federal government would continue to explore ways to tap into the mineral potential of Kogi State.
