Ajia to KWSG: Claiming Police School Ballah Project, a Propaganda Taken Too Far

0

The Mohammed Ajia Ibrahim (MAI) Foundation has described as blatant lies and sickening propaganda the listing of the Police Secondary School Ballah Borehole project as one of projects of the Kwara State government.

The foundation said the attribution of the project in Ballah, Asa Local Government Area to the state government was a propaganda taken too far.

A document circulating on social media platforms, and printed magazine titled ‘Action speaks louder than voice’, which catalogued the achievements of Kwara State government in Asa Local Government Area of the state, had claimed the Borehole project as that of the state government.

The said document attributed and listed the construction of Borehole and provision of Overhead Tank at Police Secondary School (PSS), Ballah as one of the projects executed by the outgoing All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration.

The foundation said, “For the records, the people of Asa and Kwarans in general deserve to know the truth about the Borehole project at Police Secondary School, Ballah. This is a MAI Foundation fully funded-project and attributing it to anyone other than the real donor is mischievous, callous and a new low for a clueless Government that is bereft of ideas including how to lie.

“The borehole is one of the intervention projects of the MAI Foundation that would have been officially commissioned recently but postponed for unforeseen circumstances. Besides, the entire Police Secondary School, Ballah is a project influenced by MAI Foundation in collaboration with the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU). Any contrary claim to our position should be discountenanced.

“As a foundation, we are not unaware that this is a political season and that the present administration, knowing full well that it has ticked wrong boxes and dashed the hope of the good people of Kwara State, would want to latch on any available opportunity to escape backlash from the people.

“We have come to realize that you can’t give what you don’t have, little wonder that the present APC administration has failed in all ramifications, and it is laughable that the glaring failure could be taken to a low level where the project executed and fully funded by a Nongovernmental Organization would be attributed to the government that had since exhausted all its deceit and deception.

“Kwarans are aware, wiser and more savvy now unlike when they were cajoled with packet of lies and propaganda. Let it be known that the people have condoned the lies of the last three years, and as it is often said, the house built on a spittle shall be crumbed by the dew.

“From all indications, the clock is ticking and people have started counting the remainder of the months for this deceitful government to quit. And now that the handwriting is on the wall, what is obviously left for this drowning government as an option is to whip up emotion and sentiment and deploy its usual trick of inflaming passion, lay claim and ascribe to itself what it has failed to do.

“It has to be re-emphasized for the umpteenth time that MAI Foundation drilled motorized Borehole, provided Overhead Tank for easy storage of water , generator set to power and reticulated it for the use of Police Secondary School, Ballah in Asa Local Government Area of the state. People should not be swayed by sheer propaganda, a stock in trade of a failed government”.
