TAU Governing Council Appoints Kolawole Opemipo As Substantive Registrar

The Governing Council of Thomas Adewumi University, Oko-Irese in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State has approved the appointment of Mr Kolawole Fisoye Opemipo as substantive Registrar for the institution.

The Council at the meeting held on 14th March 2025, approved the appointment.

Kolawole an accomplished university administrator with extensive experience in higher education management with a career spanning over a decade has served in an acting capacity in this role since May 2024.

He has excelled in university governance, admissions, examinations, academic records management, and institutional policy implementation.

He holds a Master of Science in Business Administration (2019) and a Bachelor of Agriculture in Animal Science and Fisheries Management (2011), both from Bowen University, Iwo. He is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA), the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and the Institute of Professional Managers and Administrators of Nigeria (IPMA).

Prior to joining Thomas Adewumi University, he held key administrative positions in higher institutions. He served as Senior Assistant Registrar at First Technical University, Ibadan, where he was Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, and as Assistant Registrar at Bowen University, Iwo, where he oversaw admissions, regulatory compliance, and student records. He has also played a significant role in university governance, serving as Secretary to Principal Officers, Management, and various institutional committees.

His appointment as the substantive Registrar of Thomas Adewumi University is a testament to his dedication to institutional development, his outstanding administrative expertise, and his ability to drive transformational change.
