Battle line drawn, and only the brave will live to withstand the heat. So is the atmosphere within the society now, as we count down, in hours towards walking down differently in observing our civic rights.

We live on the edge of our seat today, as numerous twists bound to be unfolded till the last minutes, thereby giving assets to some, same time detrimental to others ambition. This has always been with the exercise, but this year with little exception due to certain circumstances coming into play and having significant impact to the permutations, thereby making it more dicey than ever.

Action Congress Party(APC), been the party in power walking down towards the polls, the influence of incumbency power looks slimmer by the ticking of clock due to power from the within that are playing cards closer to their beats, trying to garner self and regional goals, thereby scuffle the party’s process.

But as we watch keenly, lots understand that so many players going to be beaten to the game, and with care not taken, rendering their political relevance into shred. No stone is going to be left untouched, as all that’s needed is strongly bound to be thrown unto the ring.

Like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his tracks holds him higher, but won’t ever be a stroll in the pack for him, as it has never been for him and his party, even at state level. So he knows better, much has to be done for outcome to be in his favor, and as always as he has remained a great strategist, the time is now for him to bring the best of his aces to the game.

Lagos State, and some other parts of the South-West are the back on which chunk of his success and political magnanimity can’t be overlooked. He has ruled; set the pace, and laid the foundation upon which continuity and swift development is been resolute.

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of People’s Democratic Party(PDP), as things are turning out, has this election to get all he could put into action to work in his favour, as it likely stands to be the last toss from his coin. So leaving nothing to odds, expectation is higher from him, as inter-party forces surely to come into play in his favor, with regionality, ethnicity and religion coming into highest hit. Fingers to be crossed as hours determines the outcome of all the permutations and exercise.

With two former governors topping the list of contenders, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP), and Mr Peter Gregory Obi of Labour Party(LP), we are having a very close contest like never before, with each having region(s) where they control massive supporters.

Inherently, we live to observe how votes will be split with the commanding figure this duo influenced, and see how impactful it will be on the final outcome of results. Their supporters are enormous and active.

Compendiously, 2023 general election in Nigeria is walking in likes, as at that of 2017 in America, that produced Donald Trump as against not odds, but higher expectations, except if the physical polls defeat the online and social media numbers.

The wildcard might not be where all hearts poured towards, but rather the other side, but only hours will get us cleared.

Counting down with anxiety; with amusement; and enchantment.

NIGERIA is us……..let’s build it!
