Two years Anniversary: Correspondents’ Chapel lauds Gov Abdulrazaq’s on achievements, seeks improved welfare for Media Practitioners

The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kwara State Council, has applauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the massive infrastructural developments of the state by his administration in two years in office.

The chapel expressed this in its congratulatory message to the Governor on the two years anniversary signed by the Chairman and Secretary Abdulhakeem Garba and Kayode Abdulazeez respectively.

The statement read in part “we rejoice with your Excellency over the giant strides and successes recorded so far in various sectors within two years in office.

”We are confident that the trust placed in you by the people of Kwara will inspire you to continue on the important effort in promoting well-being and infrastructure development that leads to the path of prosperity for your people”

“As you enter your third year in office, we urge you to continue with the on-going repositioning of media houses for better service delivery, such as state owned television station (KWTV), Radio Kwara and the Herald and as well scale up welfare package for the media practitioners in the state.

While, we thank and appreciate your excellency for the appointment of core professional as manager of media houses as well as members of your cabinet, we are looking forward for more of such appointments because of the professional wherewithal possessed by the members of the union when it comes to strategic communication and publicity.

We pray to the Almighty God to continue directing your excellency to the path of service delivery to the people of the state and make Kwara state the envy of all.
