Management of the University of Ilorin has expelled a 100 Level student for allegedly demanding money from parent of his missing colleague as ransom.
According to a piece of information contained in the weekly bulletin of the university, signed by the Director of Corporate Affairs of the university, Kunle Akogun, on Monday, the student was identified as Olanrewaju Abdulkabir Abdulkadri.
The expelled student, with matriculation number 22/52HL004 is from department of Information Technology and Faculty of the Communication and Information Sciences of the university.
Also, the university rusticated a 400-level student, Segun Micheal Oyewole, for beating a fellow female student.
Oyewole, who was rusticated for one academic session, was from the department of Counsellor Education, faculty of Education of the university.
