Igbinedion University, Okada has partnered with Ehizua College of Creative Technology to expand its scope in digital literacy and programmes.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye stated this on Tuesday during the inauguration of Ehizua creative tech hub in Benin.
Ezemonye told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sideline of the event, that the partnership was to further translate the desire to transit from analogue to digital training.
He said the university had incorporated digital disciplines and digital literacy in all aspects of its programmes.
“With Ehizua hub now, we have the latitude to expand the scope of engagement in our digital literacy and digital programme.
“The programme will go in a long way in enhancing our desire to join and produce future ready graduates.
“We have been in partnership in the last 13 months and even before then, the university had partnered with various IT academies like Microsoft Word, Mikrotik, Cisco and Huawei.
“This is to make sure that our digital skill is in tandem with the global demand.
“The hub is an international platform for both the students outside and within the continent,” he said.
Also speaking, Mathias Ehizua, Chief Creative Officer of the hub, said the partnership would create access for students of the university to learn creative technology and be job ready.
“It will create a pathway for them to get employment within Nigeria and overseas.
“The university will be able to offer skill programme through Ehizua hub.
“The university will benefit in terms of certification and transnational education,” he said.
