Dr Limota Goroso-Giwa, Executive Director of International Women Communication Centre (IWCC), has praised President Bola Tinubu and Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq of Kwara for appointing more women into their cabinets.

Goroso-Giwa made the commendation on Thursday during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

She said that increase in the number of female ministers and female commissioners in Kwara was a departure from the experience in previous administrations.

She, however, urged Tinubu to still increase the number to measure up to the 35 per cent affirmative action declared in Beijing, China, for appointive and elective positions.

This, she said, would encourage more women in politics and leadership positions.

Goroso-Giwa said that Kwara governor’s appointment of females as 50 per cent of his cabinet, was laudable.
