YPP Elect, Inaugurates Ward, LG Exco in Kwara

The Young Progressive Party (YPP) Kwara state chapter was on Saturday 12th of March elected executive officers of their party across the one hundred and Ninety-three wards (193) and sixteen (16) local government areas of the state.

Commending the peaceful conduct of the party’s members, the national secretary of the party, Hon. Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, said “I am very impressed with the turnout and the beautiful conduct of our party officials and members”

“We have chosen option of consent as provided for by section 84 of the electoral act 2022”

Talking about the uniqueness of the party and preparation ahead of the next general election “we are the only party in Nigeria with the youngest national chairman and we are ready to build on that and give chance to the young people to aspire for political office across the country”

“We are determined to retire the old politicians, take over the national assembly and get a sizable number of governorship seats”

“The source of our strength is youth base and out of over 85 million registered voters as of today, I want to assure you that 65 million of those registered voters are youth, young women and men and we are talking to them and they are ready to partner with us and create ballot revolution. If you look at our slogan, we also have ballot revolution as slogan. We will shock the old brigade politician in Nigeria in 2023”

“This youth population that are registered card-carrying members with their PVC will shock Nigerian by voting in young people to take over the leadership positions”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was represented at the venue of the exercise by Mohammed Sanni Abubakar and Abdulkadir Bolaji Azeez, assistant electoral officer operation, and rac respectively.

While speaking at the Adewole ward the leader of the INEC team, Mohammed Sanni Abubakar, who is an Assistant Electoral officer said the exercise was in line with the provision of the electoral act.

Speaking on behalf of the newly elected Exco, Alhaji Mustapha Idris, who is a deputy party chairman in Ilorin West, commended the conduct of the party members and expressed the readiness of the party to make a significant impact in the 2023 general election in the state and national.
