Eleven people suspected to be behind the recent attack of APC members during the party’s stakeholders meeting in Lafiagi have been served a summons to appear in the Lafiagi Magistrate court on Friday, February 19.
The said suspects were first invited by the Lafiagi Police command following a petition written and signed by some members of the party in the local government and later granted bailed at the expense of Mohammed Aliyu alias Labasa (The APC Caretaker Chairman in Edu ).
According to the petitioners
“Monday, February 8, 2021, two All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirants in Kwara State, Alhaji Tajudeen Abdulkadir Audu (Makama) and Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi, together with some Kwara North APC leaders were attacked by hoodlums during the party’s stakeholders meeting at Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area”
“ Witnesses identified certain aides of the Governor as being sponsors of the said attack. Particular mentions were made of the Tescom chairman (Bello car wash), Barrister Aliyu Alhassan ( former SA) and Mohammed Aliyu alias Labassa ( Caretaker chairman)”
“Hoodlums who took part in the said attack have been invited by the police. They include: 1. Usman Ndagura (aka “Temperature”- Gang Leader) of Emi NdaguraTifin – Ekogi area, Lafiagi. 2. Nma Wasco Emi Magajin, Tako-Gabi Lafiagi. 3. Nmausman aka “Boro” Emi Mandzwakwa Tako-Gabi Area Lafiagi. 4. Alhaji Haske, Emi Magajin Tako-Gabi, Lafiagi 5. Abu Emi Naibi, Tako – Gabi Lafiagi 6. Alhaji Nmadu aka Family Man, Emi Bana Bindofu Area, Lafiagi 7. Abdullahi Idris (aka Micro) Emi Ubandawaki Tako Gabi, Lafiagi.8. Ndadowu Emi Dawuda Efu NagunLafiagi 9. Etsu Patampa Ishiaq, Emi Kpotun Lafiagi 10.Tuaki Emi Sonkali. Tako-Gabi Lafiagi 11. Hakeem (Yoruba), Television repairs, Emi Nagenu near the Central Mosque Lafiagi”
“We are surprised as to why Mohammed Aliyu alias Labasa (The APC Caretaker Chairman in Edu ) who was alleged to be one of the sponsors was the one that posted their bail”
“The suspects have, however, been served a summons to appear at the Lafiagi Magistrate court on Friday, February 19.
But there are very strong indications that the case may be transferred to Ilorin on the instruction of powers that be”
“Is there a possible abortion of justice in the offing? Well, that remains to be seen”
