The Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Screening Committee, John Odigie Oyegun, has dropped the hint on criterial adopted by its committee that made them disqualified some aspirants.
Oyegun, disclosed this while submitting the report of the screening exercise to the national Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Adamu, today Friday.
Addressing journalists at the national Secretariat of APC, Oyegun said only thirteen aspirants out of the twenty three that appeared before the Committee were cleared.
He said age was one of the parameters considered by the committee in pruning down the list of aspirants as it gave consideration to younger aspirants.
The former Governor of Edo State also said experience and the aspirants’ contributions to national development were used as the criteria for the screening.
Oyegun, however declined to go into details of the aspirants disqualified and cleared.
Oyegun also disclosed that the committee did not screen former President Goodluck Jonathan.
