The Chairman Flow FM radio station, Ilorin Engineer Olufemi Sanni has enjoined media practitioners as well as Nigerians not to overheat the politics as the 2027 general election approaches adding that Nigeria remains our home.

He charged media practitioners to always ensure balanced stories, control the narrative as they need to make sure the country stays.

Sanni made the appeal while receiving the Executive members of the Correspondents’ chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kwara State Council at the FM station on Wednesday in Ilorin.

The Chairman said there’s need to guide the youths of this generation whenever the need arises with synergy from all so that the older generation would be at peace later in the future.

“Our job is to make sure we balance our stories, we should be able to control the narrative, we need to find a balance, we have the control, we need to make sure the country stays, I have been everywhere, there is no place like Nigeria.

As the year 2027 general approaches, no matter how biased we are, we should never overheat the politics, no matter the side we are on, we should not look for something that will overheat the politics, rather we should create a narrative that will calm the nerves” he said.

Speaking on the content of the radio station, he said he decided to operate first as an English-speaking radio station in the state which he said has upgraded the station from number 16 it was to number 4 currently.

Sanni noted that it is important to move with the tide for a secure future, as he declared an unalloyed support for the mainstream media.

Earlier, the chairman of the chapel, Mallam ‘Biola Azeez said the courtesy call became important to foster peace, extend our relationship, and for subsequent partnerships.
