N500,000 Each You Acknowledged Was From Lai Moh’d, APC Factional Financial Officials Tells Kwara Lawmakers

Factional caretaker Treasurer and Financial Secretary in All Progressives Congress (APC), kwara state chapter, on Monday told the 21 members of the State House of Assembly that N500,000 each they acknowledged receipt of during their press conference was from Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed.

The party’s financial officials disclosed this, while addressing journalists at the factional party’s secretariat, Reservation Road, Ilorin, kwara state capital on Monday said, Lai Mohammed channeled the said N500,000 through the party accounts and each of the then party candidates for the State House of Assembly acknowledged and sent appreciation messages to the minister.

Addressing journalists, Mohammed Shola Tajudeen, factional caretaker financial secretary said “on Sunday, members of the kwara state house of assembly addressed a press conference to debunk the claim that their elections was funded by Alhaji Lai Mohammed to the tune of #500,000:00”

“In their statement, they confirmed the receipt of the sum of #500,000:00, but mischievously claimed that the money was from the national secretariat”

“As custodians of the party accounts, we want to restate that the said money was released to them by Alh. Lai Mohammed and transferred to them through the party account”

“In a bid to satisfy their pay master and in desperation for second term tickets, they are in self denial”

“They were informed about the source of the money and they individually sent acknowledgements to the Hon. Minister to appreciate his kind gesture of support”

“Indeed all the logistics and funding for their general election was provided by the Hon. Minister”

“If they are incapable of saying the truth because of the largese they get from oga and the fear of losing illusory second term tickets, they should at least have a sense of history and remember that posterity is the greatest judge”
