95 % Of your demands in 2023 budget – Gov Abiodun tells Ogun people

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that 95 per cent of demands made at the citizen’s town hall meetings have been incorporated into the budget proposal for the year 2023.

Governor Abiodun who made this known at the Treasury Board meeting held at the Obas’ Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta,

said that the town hall meeting was necessary in his administration’s inclusive governance in budget preparation.

The Governor explained that his administration introduced the Medium Term Revenue Strategy to identify and work on the major revenue-generating agencies to enhance and sustain revenue mobilisation, collection and enforcement.

He also said that his administration would take necessary steps towards ensuring adequate funds were allocated to areas that would directly impact the socio-economic well-being of the people.

In a remark, The state Commissioner for Finance, Mr Dapo Okubadejo said 2023 budget was meant to stimulate the post-COVID-19 state economy by upscaling infrastructure and other sectors that would engender sustainable growth across the State.
