FEDPOFFA Lauds, Honours Sen Ashiru over Support

The Senator Representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Oyelola Ashiru, has reiterated his continued support for the development of education in his constituency through various ways.

The Senator expressed this at the 11th convocation of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State, where he was awarded as a honorary fellow of the institution.

Presenting the award, Dr. Usman Bokani Ahmed, the chairman governing board of the institution, commended the lawmaker for his contribution towards educational development, also for being a principal actor for the upgrade of the institution to a university.

The Senator, in his remark, expressed optmism that the upgrade of the institution will bring progress to the staff, students and to the community as a whole. He also commended the doggedness of the Chairman Governing Council to ensure fruition of the ongoing project.

Speaking further, “After this 11th Convocation, held on 11th of the 11th month of the year, after 11th the next number is 12, thereafter is the midnight, after midnight is the dawn, the new dawn will be Federal University of Technology, Offa Kwara State”. He added.

The Fellow award was in recognition of the Senator’s dedicated service to the institution and to humanity.
