Alleged Motorcycle Theft: Suspect Nabs at Supermarket on Sallah Day in Kwara


A young man, Saliu Raofeek, who has been declared wanted by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Kwara State Command over alleged theft of Motorcycle was on Sallah day nabbed at supermarket in Ilorin, where he was shopping.

According to the spokesperson of the NSCDC, kwara state command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi said the young man was nabbed at a popular Supermarket around Taiwo area, Ilorin.

“It will be recalled that the middle aged man was accused of stealing a motor bike sometimes in May 2021 but evaded arrest and disappered into a thin air with the stolen bike”

“All efforts to apprehend him since then has proved abortive until he was picked up at a supermarket along Taiwo road in llorin”

“around 1113 hours on Tuesday, two operatives from Akerebiata Division, who were on a surveillance around Taiwo road in ilorin sighted a suspect who has been on a wanted list for a while. The suspect was accused of stealing of motor cycle and has since been on the run” he said.

He said the suspect will be charged to court after the completion of investigations.
