The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) has commended the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) for gifting some of their members laptop.
ASKOMP Chairman, Salihu Shola Taofeek in a statement issued on Saturday described IEYDA’s gesture as another way of encouraging young entrepreneurs in Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large.
According to him, we receive the news of donation of three laptops to our members by Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA)with excitement. It shows Kwarans appreciate the good works our members are doing through journalism.
He said the initiative further affirms that the importance of community support in enhancing the capabilities of media practitioners in Kwara.
“The laptops provided are expected to empower members in delivering quality online content and contribute to the growth of online media in the state.” He added.
Taofeek acknowledged the previous supports of IEYDA to the association including COVID-19 palliative and strategic reach out during festive periods.
The beneficiaries are Just Event Online, SATCOM Media and Shopen Online.
