Kwara based civil society organisation (CSO’s) Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD) has called on the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate a particular abandoned constituency project facilitated by former Senate President, Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

According to the ENetSuD, the project is  a skills acquisition center, located behind Sobi Specialist Hospital, Alagbado Ilorin, the state capital which was handled by a company called Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA).

We could recalled that the operatives of the ICPC was in Kwara state recently in which they claimed to be in the state to track all the constituency projects facilitated by all the national lawmakers in the state that served between 2015 to 2019.

Meanwhile, according to the statement signed by the coordinator of the organisation, Dr. Abdullateef Alagbonsi and made available to the Journalists reads “Now that you are in Kwara State, we urge you to investigate this 2018 constituency project (see infographic) facilitated by Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and executed by Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA)”

“It is located behind Sobi Specialist Hospital in Ilorin South LGA. We earlier wrote FOI request to BCDA in September 2019, and they replied us”

“They informed us that the project has been COMPLETED”

“However, our tracking shows that the project was ABANDONED (see pictures below for the status as at today (27th June 2020)”
