The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Yakubu Danaladi-Salihu says the Government of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is leaving no one in doubt in its quest to fix the infrastructural deficit in Kwara North and the entire state in general.
Engr Danladi-Salihu who stated this at the Citizens’ Engagement in the Budget Process for 2022 Budget Preparation for Kwara North Senatorial District hosted in Kaiama Local Government Area of the State commended Governor Abdulrazaq for he described as a novel idea of engaging stakeholders in the budget processing.
“This Citizens’ Engagement in the Budget Process is the second this administration would engage in, the first one was held last year in Moro Local Government Area for the Kwara North Senatorial District where first-hand information were sourced from the citizens on the most pressing areas of their needs for inclusion in the budget”
“As lawmakers, I want to assure you all that the Ninth Assembly would ensure the input of the identified areas of needs by the citizens based on the scale of preference in the next year budget as well as the actual implementation so that our people especially at the grassroots would continue to feel the impact of the government”
“Our region, the Kwara North had long suffered neglect from the previous government, this present administration is the one changing the narrative by giving a new lease of life to our people through road construction which is boosting our economic activities, schools and hospitals renovation and remodelling, rehabilitation of water works, electricity among many other projects completed and ongoing. This explains why as Kwara Northerners we would continue to be cooperative and supportive to the government of Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq”
