The provost, Kwara State College of Nursing and Midwifery, Imam Abubakar Ayinla has congratulated the faithful Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri celebration and preached peace.
The academician expressed this in a statement released to rejoice with Muslims Ummah said “peace is a necessary ingredient for socio-economic development anywhere in the world”
The provost who urged the students and staff of the institution to at all time embrace peace, and make harmony their way of life.
In his words “the holy month was observed by all of us as a time to move closer to our creator and learn more about Islamic injunctions. We exhibited good virtues as Muslims, this virtues should not end with the holy month, rather it should be a lifestyle so that we can always be an example for others” he admonished.
The Nurse educator also charged the Muslims to always pray for peace in their neighbourhood, state and Nigeria in general.
“As we sacrifice our time to pray for the Nation, government at all level should come up with blue print for socio-economic development that will benefit the commoners”
The College administrator, however urged the students to continue be their brothers keeper, promoting peaceful co-existence, obeying rule and regulations and fulfilling societal obligations.
