Emir of Ilorin Admonish Youths on Continuous Knowledge Seeking

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, has admonished youths to always seek for knowledge said Islam is a religion that value and celebrate knowledgeable person.

The Emir made the remarks while presenting certificates and gifts to the five lucky people that performs excellently in quiz competition organized by Sheik Alimi Foundation for Peace and Development at his palace in Ilorin on Friday.

The Emir said “Whoever seeks knowledge, Islamic Knowledge and help other people to learn will get astonishing rewards from Allah Almighty. Allah will grant him/her high ranks in this world and the Hereafter”

Mai-Martaba of Ilorin, also extolled, the people managing the activities of Shiek Alimi Foundation for Peace and Development for their unflinching love for their community, Islam, humanity and sustaining the legacy of Shiek Alimi.

Presenting the lucky winners to the Emir, the National President of the Foundation, sheikh Dr. AbdulKadir Oba-Solagberu said the overall winner was blessed with full payment to Saudi Arabia to perform, Hajj, and four others were compensated with money.

Addressing journalists on the significant of the event, Dr Musa Husain Arikewushola who is a National Missioner for the Foundation said It shows the importance of knowledge, most especially Islamic knowledge and numerous opportunities that are available for those that possess good Islamic Knowledge.

Stressed that “My advise for the winners and other youths, will not go beyond Mai-martaba advise, said they should keep on learning this is not the end of battle they should continue to burn the candle, continue to recite the Quran and the prophetic tradition and as well pursue western education learning so that they would be able to compete competitively across the globe”
