The Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, has honored Hon. Mashood Mustapha (MM) with the chieftaincy title of ‘Wakilin Ngeri’of Ilorin Emirate.
The Emir made the pronouncement on Friday, September 13, 2024.
Mashood Mustapha, a business guru, hailed from Isale Aluko Compound in Ilorin West Local Government area of Kwara Central Senatorial district.
The former House of Representatives member and Stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was honoured in recognition of his immense contribution to the development of Ilorin Emirate.

Mustapha, the CEO of Crystal Group of Companies has invested heavily in Ilorin Emirate, leading to job creation and boosting the economy of the state in general.
Meanwhile, foremost Ilorin Emirate Union, ‘Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union’ (IEDPU) has felicitated with honorees, a former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mashood Mustapha; and the Executive Director, Finance, Nigerian National Petroleum Company PLC, Dr Abdulkadir Tunji Nagode; on their conferment with the traditional titles of Wakili and Dan Amana of Ilorin, respectively.
The congratulatory message was conveyed via a statement signed by the
National Publicity Secretary of the union, Mallam Nurudeen Ibrahim, on behalf of its National President, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, said that the two gentlemen truly deserve the honors.
The statement described the two new honourary title holders as illustrious patriots whose contributions to the socioeconomic development of Ilorin Emirate over the years cannot be glossed over.
Alhaji Abdulmalik thanked the Emir of Ilorin for always recognising excellence among his subjects through the conferment of appropriate honourary traditional titles on such worthy individuals.
The Union wished both Alhaji Mustapha and Dr Nagode more successful careers.
