Factional APC Kick Against Bolarinwa Sworn-in as acting Caretaker Chair in Kwara

Caucus in All Progressives Congress, APC, believed to be loyal to the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was on Friday kicked against sworn-in of the Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa as the acting Caretaker Chairman in the State.

The group which led by the former Special Adviser to the President Goodluck Jonathan on Inter Parliamentary Matters, Senator Makanjuola Ajadi disclosed this while addressing Journalists at the APC secretariat, Oni-Kanga, G.R.A, Ilorin.

The prepared speech of the group was read by the one time governorship aspirant in the state, Rev Bunmi Olusona said party elders would not tolerate dragging the name of the Executive Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq by some sponsored people.

Statement reads in part

“Our attention has been drawn to a press conference by some of our party members. While we elders and founding members of APC would not want to join issues with anyone, but condemn in strong terms, the deliberate dragging of the name of the leader of the party in the state, His Excellency Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to please their sponsors in what is obvious”

“we need however to correct some misgivings by these so called members who normally should know better but been pushed by their sponsors from Abuja”

“For the avoidance of any doubt our great party’s NEC resolution for dissolved excos to transform to caretaker automatically should binds on substantive Party executives produced by Congress  only, Kwara state party Exco was a caretaker committee and can’t be dissolved and swear in again as a care taker Exco”

“We are aware of all the various inglorious moves by those who are only loyal to their personal interest and ambition than the survival of the party. these crop of party supporters wants to take us back to the era of slavery, that we all collectively said OTOOGE”

“We refused to be enslaved again.

Do not take us back to the era of dark age. our collective desire as a people and party transcends anyone’s  political and financial desires.We are by this position calling on the National caretaker that kwara dissolved exco was a caretaker and this has on several occasion  been complained against via representation of papers immediately after the elections because of the lopsided constitution of the caretaker”

“We hereby call for fresh constitution of kwara caretaker committee that will put in place through Congress, a proper state party executive that will reflect true democracy and guarantee continuous support of APC by kwarans”

 “The  National caretaker should also appoint men of honor that will not contest, as caretaker committee members for kwara state.  Long live Nigeria, long live kwara, long live APC”

The statement was signed by the following people; Rev Bunmi Olusona, Senator Oyewo, Senator Ahmed Ahmed, Hon Ayinla folorunsho, Senator Makanjuola Ajadi.

We could recall that Bolarinwa was already sworn-in alongside other members across the nation, as acting Chairmen of the Caretaker Committees of APC by the National Caretaker Committee of the Party led by Governor Mai Malla Buni, to run the party affairs for the next Six Months.
