Fulani Herdsmen Reportedly Cut Farmer’s Hand in Kwara

Fulani herdsmen has reportedly cut hand of one Mr Saheed Zakariyau of Bindofu area of Lafiagi, in Edu local government area of kwara state.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) kwara command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi said “on Saturday 12th June 2021 at about 1300hrs One Mr Saheed Zakariyau with his colleagues of Bindofu area Lafiagi, came to NSCDC Office Lafiagi Division that they went to their farm at about 0930hrs on getting there, they met a Large herd of cattle and some fulani herdsmen grazing their rice farm,as they were trying to pursue fulani herdsmen and their cattle. In the process one fulani remove his cuttlass and machete his right hand and the fulani ran away”

He, however said that investigation is ongoing to apprehend the suspects.
