Former commissioner for Special Duties and chairman, of Alliance For Sustainable Kwara (ASK), Malam Razaq Lawal, has described the State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as a God-sent leader.
Lawal stated this while addressing members of ASK, Ilorin West local government chapter at Baboko Community Secondary School, Ilorin.
Describing Governor AbdulRazaq as a blessing to Kwara, Lawal noted that the state has witnessed sustainable unprecedented development in the last five years.
He enumerated the various interventions of AbdulRazaq ‘s administration in the areas of health, education, sports, civil service, sports, and road construction.
Lawal made specific reference to the newly established Kwara State University of Education, Kwara State University Teaching Hospital (KWASUTH), the recently commissioned road projects, Flower Garden Recreation Centre, Jebba Water Works and massive schools rehabilitation projects across the state.
He also described the governor ‘s programmmes for the vulnerable, youths, and women as legendary, noting that,” the people in these categories are now empowered to be self- employed and employers of labour through various schemes of Kwara State Social Investments Programmmes( KWASSIP).
The ASK chairman urged his hosts and the entire people of the state to continue to support the All Progressives Congress (APC)- led government so that they can continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy as witnessed in the last five years.
He rolled out the social programmmes of ASK to include scholarships for indigent students, bankrolling of WAEC, NECO, and JAMB fees for the indigents, repair of damaged infrastructure such as boreholes, streetlights, to complement the government’s efforts at making life comfortable for the people.
Earlier, the chairman of ASK in Ilorin West local government area, Hon. AbdulMojeed Temidire, had eulogized the initiators of the group for their thoughtfulness.
He hailed them for their selfless service to the state and pledged the continued support of the local branch for ASK.
The coordinator of the group in the local government, Engr. Busari Olohundare Jimoh also hailed the LEADERSHIP of ASK for their interest in the well-being of the people of the state as well as the promotion of government programmmes and policies.
The ASK chairman was accompanied by Alh Abdullahi Olesin ( secretary), former permanent secretary( General Services), and Alh AbdulRahman Ameen Babatunde, Hon. Kale Oloje, Alh Rasaq Ayinde, Alh Lanre Eletu and Alh Saka Obalana.
