The Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has mourned the demise of Magaji Alawonla, Okelele, Ilorin, Alhaji Shehu Akorede.
Akorede died on Thursday at the age of 103 and was buried on Friday according to Islamic rites .
The governor in a condolence message issued by his chief press secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye sent
his condolences to the Alawonlas of Ilorin on the passing of their patriarch.
” The Governor says the late centenarian was a man of impeccable character, who was always loyal to the truth and community interest.
“The Governor urges the family to find comfort in the good legacies of their patriarch, asking Allaah to grant him al-jannah Firdaus.”
