The Kwara State Government on Friday disclosed its readiness to build a new government house secretariat in the state.
This is made known by the state Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Dr Segun Ogunsola during the handing over of the project site to the construction company.
Speaking, Ogunsola disclosed that the secretariat, which is a story building architectural master piece would have office spaces to conduct government activities, a conference hall, cafeteria, a convenience, parking lot, and other modern designs to make the facility conducive for the workers.

Added that the project is another proof of the commitment of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration, to improving the work environment for government officials.
While urging the company handling the project, Mapat Construction Limited, to ensure adherence to the agreed scheduled delivery date, Ogunsola assured that the state government would continue to prioritise enviable infrastructural provision in the interest of the citizens and warned that the state government would not accept substandard work from the contractor.
Speaking on behalf of the contractor, the Consultant, Baron Architecture Limited, Architect Peju Ogunsakin, assured that the project would be delivered on schedule with strict adherence to the contractual terms.
