Governors submits new revenue sharing formula

The Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF, says it has submitted a new revenue formula to the Revenue Mobilization and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, to enhance the financial capacity of the states.

The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal stated this at end of the monthly meeting of the forum in Abuja.

Governor Tambuwal said the Governors would meet President Muhammadu Buhari to present the draft of the new revenue formula to the National Assembly before the end of his administration.

Other issues that dominated the discussion were the guidelines by the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit, NFIU on financial regulations to ensure proper financial management at various levels and the progress that has been made by states on Primary Health Care Under one roof in line with Seattle declaration in Nigeria.
