Hon. Alajagusi held stakeholders meeting with APC, Asa Wards Chairpersons, Elders, intimates them on achievements

A member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the people of Ilorin West and Asa Constituency was on Sunday 10th of January, 2021 held a stakeholders meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward chairpersons and elders from Asa Local Government Area of the State.

The meeting which held at the constituency office of the lawmaker, located at Adewole area in Ilorin, was called to solidify unity among the party stakeholders in the area.

Welcoming the party members to the meeting Hon. AbdulYekeen Sadiq Alajagusi briefed the attendees on his achievements in office, said, I have facilitated Six Motorized Boreholes to Alapa/Onire/Odegiwa and Afon Wards in Asa LGA”

“Renovation of many Motorized Boreholes in Ilorin West and Asa Local Government Areas”

“Reconstruction of Coca-Cola Osin Road in Ilorin West Local Government Area”

“Reconstruction of Otte Dam, that is serving over 10 Communities drinkable water in Otte/Ballah Ward, Asa LGA”

“Workshop training for the selected youth from Ilorin West and Asa Local Government Areas on personal development and important of peaceful coexistence”

“Giving of palliatives to people during the peak of COVID-19 Lockdown in the State and many other numerous support to the constituents”

Hon. Alajagusi, who reminded the attendees that he is representing nothing less than 22 wards all together in Ilorin West and Asa LGAs, assure the party stakeholders that his constituency projects will go round all the wards as times goes on.

The lawmaker, also appreciated the confidence of the attendees to demand for clarifications/explanations on some issues that were not clear to them, most especially in related to constituency projects and other succor to the constituents.

Reacting, Mr. Jimoh Rasak Olarewaju, Ward chairman, Ogbondoroko/Ireke Ward applauded Hon. Alajagusi for the sensitivity of the projects executed and said, “I am not surprised with all these your achievements because of how knowledgeable you are in terms of peoples’ needs and challenges but, We want to urge you to ensure that other communities that are yet to benefit also put into consideration in subsequent years”

Another speaker, Mr. Rafiu Salman, Chairman Agbona/Elebue/Fata Ward urge Hon. Alajagusi to consider grading of roads in the LGA said it’s not necessarily for it to be asphalted, all they want is motorable road.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Abdullateef Alakawa, immediate past Senior Adviser on Strategy to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq appealed to the attendees on the importance of unity among the party stakeholders, said “unity is sacrosanct”

Also speaking, Alhaji Issa Amosa Afon, acknowledged the developmental projects of Hon. Alajagusi in just one and half year in office and call on the party stakeholders to continue calling his attention when it’s necessary in the interest of general development.

Reacting to some of the questions raised by the stakeholders, Hon. Alajagusi said more communities will benefit from his 2021 constituency projects and other succor which said to include, building of classrooms, construction of roads and digging of motorized boreholes.

Also speaking at the meeting was a member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Aliyu Wahab Opakunle, representing Afon Constituency, thanked the party stakeholders at the meeting for their steadfastness, said government is on top gear to make sure dividends of democracy go round the communities and people in the state.

Also in attendance were; Engineer Mumini Ogele, Dr. Abdullahi, Alhaja Kudi, Alhaji Igbaelola, Adewole Raheem and many others.
