A member of the Federal House of Representatives, Representing the people of Ilorin West and Asa Constituency at the Green Chamber, Abuja, Hon. AbdulYekeen Sadiq Alajagusi has called on the residents of Kwara State to come out en masse and register as member of All Progressives Congress (APC) in order to sustain the current development the state is witnessing under the party.
Hon. Alajagusi made this call during the revalidation of his party membership at Ila-Oja Ward, polling unit 004 Foko in Asa Local Government area, said “I urge the residents of kwara who are yet to join APC to seize this unusual opportunity and register as member of the progressive party’s, also old members are implore to come out on time to revalidate their membership”
The lawmaker noted that “the level of infrastructure development currently going on across the sixteen Local Government areas in the state under the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and all the public office holders can only be sustained and build on when a progressive government like ‘APC’ is in power”
He, however, sue for peace within the members of the party said “Politics is about interest and competition, and the interest part of it is what always lead to disagreement between the members of any healthy political party in many occasions but, at the end of every rancour we must still have meeting point, where the interest of the general populace and state supersede any personal interest”
He, also appealed to some aggrieved members of the party to sheath their swords and give recognition to whom recognition is due to.
The lawmaker, also remind the people of the state, the freedom of expression enjoying under this administration said “unlike during the previous government, the people of the state are now expressing their views about government activities and agenda without any intimidation or harassment” said this along with ongoing infrastructure development in the state under the APC government worth celebrating.
He, however, appeal to the people of the state and nation to support the government of the day and join hand with APC.
