The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara South Senatorial District at the weekend convened a stakeholders’ meeting harping on the importance of peace and unity in achieving desired development in the territory.
Speaking at the meeting held at Oko-Irese, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Irepodun/Isin/Ekiti/Oke-Ero, Honourable Raheem Olawuyi Ajuloopin stressed the need for the party members to be more united and to always deploy internal mechanisms to resolve whatever crisis that happens among them. “This is a political/family meeting, we have been able to manage our crises and always to come out stronger.” he said

He admitted that there were “pockets of crises occasioned largely by misunderstanding but everyone spoke his or her mind out, and thank God, we have resolved it,” he explained.
Also, the convener of the meeting, Engr. Dr. Johnson Adewumi (Chancellor, Kwara State University, Malete, and Proprietor, Thomas Adewumi University, Oko-Irese) emphasised the need for unity and peace, saying it is the only pathway to the desired sustainable development of the Kwara South senatorial district.
“This meeting aims to further unite our people in Irepodun because the development we always crave for in Kwara South would never be achieved without unity.

“We came together to bury the hatchets and luckily, all of us have agreed to work together to achieve one goal for Irepodun; and Kwara south in extension, this is a successful meeting,” he added.
Also speaking, a Chieftain of APC and former Commissioner in the state, Chief Raheem Adedoyin explained that all the attendees wanted a more unified Kwara South starting from Irepodun, adding that “our major focus is to make Irepodun and Kwara South better.”
Reacting to the observation that the All Progressives Congress (APC) slogan was being chanted in the course of the meeting, Oloriewe (as he is fondly called) said APC is striving towards perfection. ” Once we get it right in APC, we will get it right in Irepodun.”
The stakeholders in attendance included, Irepodun local Government Chairman, Hon. Azeez Yakubu, the Chairman, Governing Council, Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, Osun State, Prof. Wale Sulaiman, APC Chieftain and Esikin of Omuaran, Gen. Lasisi Yemi Abidoye ( Rtd), Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Akeweje Olayinka Fafoluyi Solace , Member, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Shola Odetundun, Hajia Rasheedat Kazeem, APC Chairperson, Irepodun LGA, and many more Stakeholders in Government and the party structure.
