Kwara APC Thanks Members for Rancour free LGs Congress

All progressives Congress (APC) Kwara state chapter, led by its chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Samari Abubakar has expressed appreciation to all faithful party members in the state for a rancour-free local government congress held at the last weekend’s.

The party chairman disclosed this while addressing Journalists at the party secretariat, located along Commissioner’s lodge way, G.R.A, Ilorin on Tuesday.

“We call you this afternoon to publicly appreciate our members in the state for their honourable and peaceful conduct at the just concluded Local Government Congresses of our great party, A.P.C. in the State. We are proud of you all”

“Our sincere appreciation also goes to His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for creating an enabling environment for the success of the exercise. We also commend His Excellency the Deputy Governor, our National Assembly Members, the Speaker and Members of the 9th Assembly, as well as all party elders and stakeholders”

The chairman, also call on members and elders of the party’s to remain resolute as ever before in their collective conviction said, the party under the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is the only political party and platform to be embraced by Kwarans because of its commitment to their welfare.

The chairman, however called on anyone with complain to embrace party’s negotiations mechanism, “Nevertheless, we are confident that any grey areas can always be addressed through lawful corridors of negotiations and compensations which our party has always offered. There can be no denying the fact that we need that spirit of give and take to strengthen our party, and we thank our leaders and members for believing in the leadership of the Governor to ensure that nobody leaves the table with nothing” he said

Added that “It is also important to make it clear that there was no parallel local government congress in Kwara State. Unlike the ward congress which involved all party members, the local congress was not an all-comers’ affair. It was strictly a delegates’ election in which only accredited delegates, including elected statutory delegates, are allowed to take part”

He, however warned innocent party’s members not to allow some selfish politicians to used them for their egocentric interest.

“As a party, we are certainly not going to close our doors to resolving any genuine internal grievances, if any, in strict compliance to the laid-down rules of the party. Bonafide members should therefore avail of crisis resolution mechanisms and the time-honoured golden rules of the party, and not allow themselves to be used to mislead the public for the selfish interest of anyone”
