The people of Alagbado Community in Ilorin South Local Government area of Kwara State have expressed their pleasure and gratitude to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over the ongoing construction of Alagbado – Osibi road project, urging the government to complete it before the rain starts.

In a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of Alagbado Joint Development Association (AJDA), Mallam Arikewuyo Abdulhakeem Imam and Kola Gambari, the residents described the facility as apt and relieving, considering “what the residents and other road users have been going through for the past two decades.”

Alagbado – Osibi 2killometre road is one of the twenty-six road projects the present administration earlier awarded for construction across the sixteen local government areas, some of which had been completed and captured in its 1st anniversary in office.

They commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his outstanding leadership and for deeming it fit to set the people of the community free from ordeals of deplorable roads.

” It is sad to note that our people have been experiencing difficulty passing through this road because of its poor condition. We are relieved that this administration remembered us with our roads being constructed. This particular route makes it the third of which had enjoyed the government’s attention. The road from Sobi Specialist Hospital to Gambari, and the one leading to Sobi road had earlier been rehabilitated. This is applaudable,” the statement said.

According to the release, the project when completed will ease mobility of people and promote commercial activities in the area, which it said, has long been hampered as a result of infrastructural deficit.

It however enjoined Governor AbdulRazaq to also look into their challenge of poor electricity, occasioned by inadequate transformers, saying some of the new settlements in Alagbado are not properly served with full current light.
