There is neither riff nor mistrust between All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu and presidential standard bearer Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the ruling party clarified on Thursday.
The National Working Committee (NWC) also debunked reports that Adamu transmitted a protest letter to Tinubu to withdraw the list of Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) members.
A list of the 422-member PCC with president Muhammadu Buhari as the chairman was released by the Secretary of the Council, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, last Friday in Abuja.
But a letter purportedly written by the national chairman to Tinubu allegedly pointed out that the list was not approved by the NWC and, therefore, should be withdrawn.
The National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, a lawyer, said the party had faulted the purported letter, adding that both the NWC and the national chairman distanced themselves from the fake document. (Nation)
