NSCDC Nabbed Notorious Car Snatcher in Kwara


A 27 years old man, Abubakar Aliyu has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara State Command for allegedly Stollen a Toyota Camry Saloon Car in Malete area of the state.

Disclosing this to Journalists, the spokesperson of the NSCDC, state command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi disclosed that the suspect, Aliyu stole a Toyota Camry red colour car with registration number EPE 294 GT midnight of Wednesday 11th of August, 2021 in Malete.

According to him, “the suspect by the name Abubakar Aliyu, a father of two, committed the offence at one private hostel in malete area of kwara state university”

On Thursday 12th of August, 2021 our intelligence and investigation department were deployed to look out for the said car upon receiving the complaint about a missing car in one of the KWASU hostels in Malete.

“Through an effort of the surveillance team of intelligence and investigation, department, Abubaka Aliyu was arrested with the car”. Babawale disclosed.

The CDPRO narrated further that “the car said to be parked in front of the hostel on Wednesday 11/08/2021 around 11pm in the night only to wake up the following morning of Thursday 12/08/2021 and found the car missing. Abubakar broke through the window of one of the hostel and made away with the car key thereby succeeded in stolen the said car”

The image maker added that the suspect took the car to one painter’s shop of Adewunmi Taiwo Gabriel at Oko Erin Area, Ilorin, where the red color was changed to black color. This was done under 8 hours with the suspect standing by the painter and took the car out of the place the same day.

He disclosed that both suspects are now in the custody of NSCDC said Abubakar have confessed to have committed the crime.
