On Thursday, the officers of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) shot a suspected kidnapper in Oyo State.
The shooting took place around 10:30 in the morning at Easy Gate Farm on Abanla Ogunmakin road in Ibadan.
According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Oyindamola Okuneye, eight suspected kidnappers gained entry to the farm in order to kidnap the owner, a foreigner.
The kidnappers were repelled by Corps officers in a gun battle in which one of them was killed, according to the statement.
Others escaped with various degrees of bullet wounds.
The Oyo State Commandant, Adaralewa Michael has called on the residents of the State to give credible information to security operatives about what is happening in their area. (FRCN)
