Applauds Kwarans on National Assignment
A Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Hon. Mashood Mustapha has lauded the appointments of the duo of Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari and Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, saying it would further reignite the hope of Kwarans in aspiration to serve their father’s land and showcase their intellectual capability.
Ojulari and Oloriegbe were recently appointed as the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) respectively.
Mustapha, a former governorship aspirant in a statement made available to pressmen reads:
“Sometimes when I sit back and reflect on the state of our nation, I find myself caught in a whirlwind of emotions. On some days, it feels like everything is falling apart. But then, moments come that remind me that all is not lost. Moments that spark a little light in the darkness.
“The recent appointments of two distinguished sons of Kwara, Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe and Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, have reignited that flicker of hope.
“Dr. Oloriegbe is now the Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), and Engr. Ojulari has been appointed as the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). These are no small feats, and I’m incredibly proud to celebrate them.
“These appointments show that Kwarans are not just participating in national development – we are taking centre stage. Our people are known for their intelligence, resilience, and quiet excellence. I have no doubt that these appointees will carry the Kwara spirit into their new roles and make us all proud.
“This is not just an honour, it’s a call to service. And I pray that God grants them the wisdom, strength, and courage to excel.
“My reflections wouldn’t be complete without acknowledging other Kwarans who are already making waves at the national level. People like: the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abdullateef Fagbemi SAN; the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed; the Chairman of Federal Character Commission, Hajia Muheeba Dankaka; the Chief of Defence Space Administration, AVM Lanre Ibrahim Oluwatoyin; the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Professor Ibrahim Abikan Abdulqadir, and many others quietly serving and making Kwara proud.
“To all of you, I say thank you. Thank you for showing the world what we stand for. Thank you for being worthy ambassadors of our beloved Kwara. May God continue to guide you and use you as vessels for the progress of our state and our country.”
